Introduction:
Annisul Huq is the first mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation who breathed his last at 65 years old. He was a successful businessman, entrepreneur and political leader who won the City Election Poll on April 28, 2015, over Tabith Awal. Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina picks up him and chose as mayoral candidate for Dhaka North City Corporation. He was the former president of FBCCI and BGMEA. He was one of the successful garments industrialists in the country. Annisul Huq dramatically becomes the father of Dhaka North City from a television presenter. |
Annisul Huq Early Life:
Annisul Huq was born on October 27, 1952, in Kabirhat, Sudharam, Noakhali to father Md. Shariful Huq and mother Rakeya Lutful Huq. He passed his childhood with family and his father was a government employee. His father Shariful Huq died on January 24, 2018, at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka. Annisul was not a so much brilliant student just like his other brothers. However, he completed his Master degree in Economics from Chittagong University. His younger brother Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq is the current Chief of Bangladesh Army Staff.

Annisul Huq Career:
After completing his education, he was unemployed for two or three years. Then he moved to Dhaka from Chittagong and dramatically changed his destiny. Mayor Annisul Huq started his career as a television presenter, but his father did not like this profession and wanted to know from him what her future plan is? Annisul Huq wanted to be a businessman whereas most of the siblings were service holder and told his father about the wish.
Annisul Huq started garments business, but he was not successful in this industry from begging, gradually he developed his business with hard work. In this way, he becomes the successful businessman in the country and achieved the designation of ‘CIP’ from the government of the Peoples’ Republic of Bangladesh for his outstanding entrepreneur quality. Annisul Huq served as president for two terms of Bangladesh Garments Manufacturer and Exporter’s Association (BGMEA). He was the president of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry
(FBCCI). Now, she is the first elected mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation. |
Personal Life:
Annisul Huq married Rubana Huq, she is a talented business lady in the country whom met Annisul during the working time on Television. The couple together has two daughters named Wamiq Umaira and Tanisha Fariamaan Huq and a son Navidul Huq. |
Death:
The talented business leader and politician Mayor Annisul Huq passed away on November 30, 2017, at Wellington Hospital, London, after nearly three months treatment. He has been suffering from neurological problems for several months. |
